Wellness Activities
Wellness is the central trend for the coming decades

What are the main activities?

Would you enjoy talking to clients face to face, on the phone or in a class or club environment? Either way you will be able provide the client with advice, personalised programmes and ongoing coaching support.  You can maintain an ongoing relationship with the client for the months they are on a programme. Or maybe you have background in exercise and can work in a fit club or support the running of a fit club working alongside a p/t, body pump instructor or dance teacher etc. Or maybe you may see yourself as the next social media guru!. All this is designed to be organised around your current commitments. Do you have 5-15 hours available per week? How will this fit around your other activities? Yes you can do it full time, but most start part time.

Review the main activities on this page and let us know which ones interest you. Do your circumstances dictate what you are able to do? Need to work at home, can you work out of the home?

There are lots of different approaches to losing weight. What is the most common reaction when people go on a diet to lose weight? They eat less, depriving their body of good essential nutrients. What happens next? The body receives less nutrition and less nutrients and as a result they start losing their muscular mass. In other words muscles become the source of nutritional reserves for their body. When people stop their dieting they go back to eating as before but they have less muscle mass which is precisely what they need to help burn calories.

Why is our weight loss system different? It actually feeds the body correctly, it does not starve it. The reason most people become overweight is due to nutritional deficiencies. When you don't feed the body correctly it craves more food than it actually needs; it craves sugar and fat. People often give up on diets or "cheat" because they can't stand the hunger pangs. It becomes too hard. Our meal replacement programmes allow customers to  gradually change eating habits. For example, so if they skip breakfast or eat a carbs based breakfast suggest that they have a nutritional shake crucially containing protein.  Hence Lionel Messi fronting the campaign, " Have you had your shake today?

The key to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight lies in the ability to adapt a diet to fit your individual nutritional needs and lifestyle. Herbalife believes in everybody having their own personal nutrition plan – no one diet is suitable for everyone. That’s why we’ve designed products that a) Allow a personalised balance of nutrients b) Are easy to take at home, at work or on the go.

Accessibility is often an area where people’s diets fail. If you get hungry and you don’t have a healthy meal close to hand, it’s easy to go for something unhealthy which is often high in calories. Herbalife has taken the hard work out of preparing good nutrition by doing the calorie counting and measuring for you

Customers come to us for results, and in the wellness industry it has been shown that only 10 % of unsupervised programmes will work. They need a whole package of support, products and mentoring to succeed, and we also have a role to play in educating them fully about the programmes.

Customers know they can come to us with questions, and we will always try to find answers and support for them. Due to this strong customer care approach, we get to know them really well and am able to deal with them all as individuals. We are flexible in our approach with them, there are times in life when they need more empathy and support; and other times when they need a firmer guide.

You can see that you need to have an interest in fitness/diet to work in our business. But everything is kept simple so you that anyone with the right personal qualities  and motivation can do it.

The personal, one-to-one approach you offer your clients is one of the elements that make Herbalife such a unique wellness company.

With comprehensive training, we find Wellness Coaches are joining us from a range of backgrounds. The business is really simple anyway!  Understand how you can maintain a one to one relationship with the client, working from home and how we need multiple wellness coaches as we have millions of clients? Your details are added to our directory by postcode area (TW1, TW2, EH1, EH2 etc)  You promote the business locally using our marketing programmes. A customer places an order on our web site, for your postcode area, we ask you to make contact and provide the aftercare service.

The motivation to put in 5-15 hours per week to get started? Is it extra income working part time? Manage 20 clients( we have 25 million worldwide) x GBP 40 a month per customer = £1,000 a month extra income working part time. Plus wholesale profits, plus royalties. And the recognition your current career path will never allow you to achieve your dreams and goals?

Activities: consultation, recommend programmes, personalise the programme, aftercare support ( coaching), promotion, recognition of participants and mentoring new coaches.

3. Wellness Clubs and Weight Loss Challenge:

A move away from the "weigh and go" concept of many clubs. Weight scales don't tell you how much fat you have relative to lean tissue. How much better to record their progress using a very simple body composition analysis. There is an also an education slot where we provide handouts for a 12 week period. At the end of the 12 Week Challenge we give out prizes so there is a competitive element to lose the most body fat. First Prize is £300, 2nd prize £200, 3rd Prize £100 based on 30 members. The weight loss challenge is already very popular and we it expect to become a very known concept around the world. And the challenge is open to everyone, not only our own clients.

So the main activities in a wellness club are registration, body composition analysis and education. Do you have one evening free a week? Or it can be at lunchtime, if the wellness club is set up in a large company. Usually the wellness clubs are run by 2-3 Wellness Coaches working together.

We charge the members £39 for a 12 week course.

Your details will be added to our new Wellness Clubs Directory.

Working with companies too, we have a Corporate Wellness Programme, where we attend wellness days and run weight loss challenges inside companies.

So many gym goers ignore their diet and don't make the progress they should based on the hours they workout. What's typical? Skipping meals, especially  breakfast? So exhausted after a workout that they eat a chocolate bar? And too many carbs for someone working in an office: cereal and toast for breakfast, jacket potato for lunch and pasta for dinner, together with a whole range of carb based snacks including cereal bars.

We find that many individuals visiting health clubs are ignoring their diet and find their gym bags full of chocolate, crisps and fizzy drinks!! And most agree that you cant out train a bad diet.

One scenario, the meal diary reveals that the client skips breakfast, the body composition scales reveal they have a high metabolic age compared to their actual age ( a consequence of missing meals). The solution to get back into the habit of eating 3 times day. An example of  a simple change to their eating habits..

6. Internet:

There is an also an opportunity to develop the business via the internet. HEALTH and DIET is one of the most popular subjects on the web and there are millions of searches every day. Internet marketing is in two parts, creating the web pages that solve a problem. And promoting the web site with both offline and online initiatives. The first two activities described above (work from home and wellness clubs) will put you in contact with clients in your postcode area. The internet will put you in contact with clients throughout the UK and also the other 80+ countries where we operate. You have access to 65 warehouses around the world. Any language skills? Then you can look beyond the English speaking countries. Build an international business. Customers order from the local distribution centre, and  the company pays you wholesale profits and royalties via a cheque once a month.

We use web pages that are easy to set up, so anyone can do this. Prospective clients will contact you by phone and email and also order online. We also have separate product web sites with shopping carts. We also create regional web pages for you covering your postcode, to put you in contact with clients looking for products/services in your area.

And Social Media is becoming more important than search engines. Facebook is now more popular than Google. And not forgetting the growth of Twitter and other sites too. We are looking for individuals to train on this part of internet marketing. Do you use sites like Twitter and Facebook? Maybe you have contacts worldwide that would like to look at this opportunity. Sponsor then before someone else does!. The brand will be huge over the next few years.

As Mr. Gates of Microsoft said, a business without an internet presence wont have a business. And Wellness is a huge growth area, as far as the internet is concerned.

6. Mentoring /Supervisory Role:

So you have acquired some new skills, you know what questions to ask our clients to understand their challenges, you understand the programmes, you know how to run a wellness club. You have too many clients. How about passing on that knowledge to others? Teach others to do what you do and generate a residual income.

If you have worked in any kind of client based activity such as a personal trainer, yoga teacher, or plumber, you will know that your income is limited by your own time. For example, a personal trainer that can only work with 5 clients a day or 25 a week. Or you know others that have their own business e.g. a plumber that cant easily grow their  business. Hiring an apprentice is one option, training then up until 2 years later they set up in competition with you!! Employing staff = lots of headaches.

The Arriba and Herbalife business opportunity allows us not only to help others improve their health but to help other like minded people develop their own successful business.

Our role is to sponsor and coach others to build a business and grow a team.

Working full time it is possible to achieve a regular income well in excess of many people’s expectations. By building a team of distributors and helping them develop their sales you will make a royalty and bonus payment from Herbalife. This is what we call a residual income and is paid every month providing your team is making sales.

How do Herbalife do this?

In a traditional retail business model you have importers or manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers each taking a % of the retail price. The price you see on the shelf is only about 25% product cost the rest goes towards profits, distribution, stores(overheads) and marketing. With Herbalife, its a more direct model so royalties can be paid to distributors. And we have highly motivated stakeholders in the business, unlike your typical poorly motivated employee!

Understand the where you can build your income beyond your own time.  For example, you can run a couple of Wellness Clubs yourself, with each one earning you £1200 a month, working part time. But the third, fourth etc are hosted by another Wellness Coach, under your supervision.

See how you can help us find and mentor others interested in this opportunity, for which you receive a royalty payment. Its not only musicians who receive royalties! How many one man/woman businesses to you know, that start small and stay small? This business model is why we have more individuals earning more than $100,000 than any company worldwide.

Compare this to a well known slimming club franchise where you invest a huge sum, have to start full time and you are expected to run 10 classes to make it pay. How stressed would that make you?! And you only make £25k. With our business model you can run 2/3 Wellness Clubs with Weight Loss Challenge and then supervise the running of others for which you earn a royalty.

How to progress?

We are very busy, so if you can see the massive demand for our products and services now and into the future, get in touch. We are generating lots of new clients. We need help managing and coaching these clients.

What is Wellness?

“ The condition of good physical and mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise and habits.”–American Heritage Dictionary

“Wellness is about waking up every morning and having enough time, energy and freedom to live the life you want.”

The Keys to Optimum Wellness

1 – Balance Your Diet

You need to get enough of the right foods including colourful fruits and vegetables, protein, good carbohydrates and just enough good fats for the taste you want. You also need vitamins, minerals and fibre from dietary supplements to provide the nutrition missing from your diet that your cells need for good health.

2 – Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise can help you feel and look your best. Exercise conditions your heart and relieves stress and makes it easier to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.

3 – Drink Lots of Water

Your body is about two-thirds water. In an average day, you lose at least one pint of water even without excessive sweating. To feel your best, you should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day.

Steps for Achieving Optimum Wellness:

Have an evaluation of your personal wellness.

Identify key areas you need to impact to reach your wellness goals.

Get recommendations from your Personal Wellness Coach.

Make a plan of action that you can commit to.
