Elaine  has spent her life helping others–as a registered nurse for 10 years, and as a single mother raising four children. So, when a friend mentioned Herbalife, Elaine realized she could continue helping people–and improve her family’s lives.

Always interested in preventative healthcare and herbal remedies, Elaine jumped at the chance to start an Herbalife business. “But first I asked a lot of questions,” Elaine explains. She also tried the products. “I’m a nurse, so I wanted to be sure the products were the real thing. And I fell in love with them!”

Family nurse practitioner Christie  knew she was dreaming big. “I liked the salary I was earning as a nurse,” she explains, “but what I really wanted was to earn a career-level income while being a stay-at-home mom.” When she learned about Herbalife, Christie thought her dream might just be possible.
 
“I worked full-time nursing, part-time Herbalife.”

Starting her Herbalife business part-time, Christie initially put in 10 hours a week while still working at least 40 hours at her nursing job. “It was tough at first,” she says. “But I stuck to a simple plan: Attend every event possible, use the products and follow my mentor’s guidance.” Soon, Christie realized a dream she’d had a long time: “I fired my boss,” she says.

“We couldn’t have designed a better life.”

But that was just the beginning for the Cady family. “Not long after I took the business full-time,” Christie explains, “my husband Vaughn was able to ‘fire his boss,’ and now he’s a stay-at-home dad.” With their two children in private school, Christie explains, “We’re living a lifestyle we know we’d never have attained working for someone else!”*
My background is in aeronautical engineering, and my wife Sue is a qualified nurse. We have 4 children, Sophie aged 6, William who is 4, Rebekah who is 2, and we have just had our 4th baby Olivia!

In 2000, just after the birth of our second baby we realised my pay was being stretched every month to cover all the bills and our growing family. We looked at options for Sue to go back into nursing, but realised she would probably only be working to pay a child minder.
We decided to look at business opportunities that Sue could run around the kids, and that I could help with in my spare time. We looked at several companies, including franchise opportunities but they all required a great deal of investment or were really only designed for people looking for fulltime work.

One afternoon, looking in our local paper we saw an ad that said if you owned a computer, you could work from home part time or full time. We responded to the ad and had a great conversation with a lady whose situation was very similar to our own.

We agreed to attend a business presentation to learn more about the company, and were pleasantly surprised to find that many of the other people we met at the meeting were there for similar reasons to us.

After the meeting, we made the decision to start with the company. We first started taking the products in our business starter pack, and had incredible results. I lost 33lbs in 5 weeks, and Sue lost 23lbs in 5 weeks. Our energy levels were fantastic, and on top of that we made over £400 profit from sales in our first 4 weeks!

We are really excited about helping the members of our team achieve their goals, and have forged great friendships with like-minded people who recognise the possibilities available to them with this company.

When we think back to when we started, we feel so lucky to have discovered Herbalife for ourselves when we did. Our future is looking very exciting, and it’s incredible to think where this company is taking an ordinary working couple like us.

In September 2000, we attended our first meeting, having received an information pack a few months earlier. At the time, Sarah was a nurse working shifts and I was a civil servant also working shifts. We were looking for something Sarah could do from home, which would enable her to eventually give up nursing. We had little time together and found ourselves having to juggle child-care to look after Sarah’s son, Tom.

Our first step after attending a meeting was to order the International Business Pack and start on the products. After 2 months, Both Sarah and I had attained our goal weights (Sarah having lost 24 lbs and dropped 2 dress sizes and I having lost 27 lbs and dropped to a 32 inch waist). I also found that the targeted products helped me with my hay fever.
Our initial goal in the business was to replace Sarah’s part-time income (£600.00 per month). By working hard and attending UK and international events, we were able to achieve this within 4 months. We quickly discovered that the ‘more we learned the more we earned’. By working to consistent 90-day plans, attending training, reading suitable books and seeking support from our up-line on a frequent basis, we were able to reach the Global Expansion Team level within 10 months of joining the business. By now we had both resigned from our jobs. In our first year we qualified for a fantastic free holiday to Paradise Island in the Bahamas for the whole family. Thomas thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so did we. Less than a year later we were fully qualified Millionaire Team. After 3 years in the business, we enjoy a far better income and quality of life than we had in our previous careers. Along the way we’ve helped many people improve their health and financial well-being. We have a lot to look forward to in years to come.
